Jakarta, August 2, 2023. PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) ("PT SMI" or "the Company") and the Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia/LPEI have entered into a strategic collaboration regarding the issuance of bank guarantees. The Signing of the Cooperation Agreement was conducted by Darwin Tisna Djajawinata, the Director of Operations and Finance of PT SMI, and Maqin U. Norhadi and Chesna F. Anwar, the Executive Directors of Business Development and Institutional Relations of LPEI. The signing ceremony took place at the PT SMI office, Sudirman Sahid Center Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
Darwin welcomed the synergy between these Special Mission Vehicles (SMVs) under the auspices of The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. "This agreement will strengthen the relationship and cooperation between the two parties, especially in the scope of issuing bank guarantees for eligible customers or debtors of PT SMI," he said.
In the field of financing and investment, PT SMI provides various products and services to support the acceleration of infrastructure development, including non-cash financing facilities through collaboration with non-cash financing institutions. Non-cash financing facilities are provided to customers/debtors to accommodate the non-cash infrastructure project financing needs. In this regard, the Company collaborates with banks/financial institutions that will act as issuers of non-cash financing instruments, including the issuance of bank guarantees.
Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia(LPEI)/ Indonesia Eximbank, which is also one of the Special Mission Vehicles under The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, besides PT SMI, is a financial institution with sovereign status mandated to promote national exports through Financing, Guarantees, Insurance, and Consulting Services.
This signing is a concrete manifestation of LPEI's support for Indonesian businesses provided through PT SMI in the form of guarantees with a counter-guarantee scheme to support Indonesian businesses in implementing infrastructure projects that support export activities.
Maqin U. Norhadi, the Executive Director of Business Development at LPEI, stated that the collaboration between LPEI and PT SMI is a collaboration between Special Mission Vehicles (SMVs) under The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia aimed at boosting the confidence of Indonesian companies to expand into foreign markets.

**About PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero)**
PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) ("PT SMI"), established on February 26, 2009, is a State-Owned Enterprise under the coordination of The Minister of Finance in the form of a Non-Bank Financial Institution (LKBB). **About Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (LPEI)**
Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (LPEI) or Indonesia Eximbank is a special financial institution owned by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, established based on Law Number 2 of 2009 concerning Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia.
LPEI aims to support the national export program through National Export Financing (PEN) in the form of Financing, Guarantees, Insurance, and Consulting Services. LPEI can also provide financing for special assignments from the Government (National Interest Account – NIA).
