Jakarta, December 4, 2022 — Indonesia Eximbank, also known as Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (LPEI), unequivocally expresses its support for law enforcement and remains steadfast in applying a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption within its working environment and among all stakeholders.
Riyani Tirtoso, the Executive Director of LPEI, stated, "LPEI respects the law enforcement measures taken to address cases that occurred during the period 2014-2018. We will adhere to the established procedures and cooperate fully throughout the legal process as a demonstration of LPEI's commitment to implementing good corporate governance."
Riyani explained, to strengthen governance and fulfill LPEI's mandate, various initiatives have been implemented since 2020. These include ensuring that LPEI officials report their wealth in the Wealth Report (LHKPN) with a 100% compliance rate. Additionally, LPEI, in collaboration with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and The Minister of Finance's Inspectorate General (Itjen Kemenkeu), conducted awareness training on zero gratification and anti-corruption measures. Other initiatives involve updating the Conflict of Internal Charter and Integrity Pact in 2020, implementing a code of conduct with clear and stringent sanctions to prevent deviations in various business activities, and enhancing the quality of human resources to anticipate future business risks, including strengthening monitoring functions.
LPEI remains committed to providing financing to sectors with leverage and multiplier effects on exports, income, job creation, and consistently refers to its mandate to enhance the competitiveness of products and promote national strategic industries.
