Jakarta, December 10, 2022 — The Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI), also known as Indonesia Eximbank, along with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Perseo), PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero), and PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero), as Special Mission Vehicles (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, actively participated in the series of events commemorating the International Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) in 2022.
The International Anti-Corruption Day 2022 event, organized by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), carried the theme "Indonesia Pulih, Bersatu Berantas Korupsi," or "Indonesia Recovers, United Against Corruption." It aimed to promote anti-corruption messages through various activities leading up to the climax of the Hakordia 2022 on December 9, 2022, held at the Bidakara Hotel in Jakarta.
During these activities, LPEI remained committed to strengthening governance and applying a zero tolerance to corruption in the workplace. LPEI also actively participated as an exhibitor at the Integrity Expo and supported efforts to prevent and combat corruption in Indonesia, as promoted by the government.
In a separate statement, Riyani Tirtoso, Executive Director of LPEI, emphasized that the International Anti-Corruption Day is a moment to raise public awareness of the dangers of corruption and its impact on development in Indonesia. "As a Special Mission Vehicle of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, LPEI consistently upholds values of transparency, accountability, and honesty, prioritizing the interests of the State to realize a prosperous and advanced Indonesia," Riyani said on Friday (12/9).
Riyani also noted that LPEI has taken various measures to solidify its commitment to avoid corrupt practices in the workplace. Among these is an awareness training program conducted by LPEI in collaboration with the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) and the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Finance (Itjen) to promote zero gratification and anti-corruption.
"LPEI has also implemented a code of conduct with clear and strict sanctions in various business activities to prevent deviations. Training and internal communication are regularly conducted within LPEI as preparation for our employees. This is the result of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between LPEI and PPATK (Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center) some time ago," Riyani explained.
Riyani also added that with the organization of Hakordia 2022, it is expected that it will inspire the public to build strong integrity values, effectively reducing corruption levels in Indonesia. "LPEI will continue to take concrete steps in an effort to create an institution consistently implementing good governance and remaining free from corrupt practices," she stated.
Riyani also expressed LPEI's commitment to complying with the direct instructions of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, delivered during the opening of the Hakordia 2022 event, in an effort to create a nationwide movement to prevent and combat corruption across Indonesia.
Leading up to the culmination of Hakordia 2022, LPEI also participated in the GRC Forum Road to Hakordia webinar, which discussed "Gratification Limits and Legal Protection for Whistleblowers." This event demonstrated the synergy among the SMVs of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia in supporting the government's efforts to combat dangerous corruption that threatens economic growth and the sustainability of national development programs.
