Jakarta, October 9, 2024 – The Indonesia Eximbank (LPEI) continues to drive businesses towards leveling up and reaching global markets. A number of LPEI-supported exporters, including 11 SMEs, debtors, and Desa Devisa programs emphasizing women's empowerment, environmental orientation, and sustainability principles, are participating in the international trade fair, Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2024.
As a Special Mission Vehicle under the Ministry of Finance, LPEI is participating in the 39th TEI held at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, from October 9-12, 2024. Together with the Ministry of Finance, the Directorate General of Customs & Excise, and the National Single Window Agency (LNSW), LPEI collaborates in the KemenkeuSatu booth at TEI 2024 to support market expansion for exporters, helping their products compete globally.
More than a dozen LPEI partner businesses are showcasing a wide range of products, including spices, food and beverages, crafts, and furniture to international buyers. Visitors and exporters can also consult directly about LPEI’s products and services, such as export financing, export insurance and guarantees, and advisory services.
"Export-oriented businesses can benefit from the export ecosystem provided by LPEI through its products and services. Additionally, at the KemenkeuSatu booth, visitors can consult directly about various export challenges with Customs officers and representatives from the National Single Window Agency (LNSW)," said Maria Sidabutar, Head of SME & Advisory Services Division at LPEI.
Maria added that LPEI acts as an extension of the government, concretely supporting national export promotion efforts, including actively contributing to government achievements through its advisory services program. From 2020 to June 2024, LPEI has helped create over 900 new exporters, specializing in key commodities such as food and beverages, home decor, and fashion.
The 11 businesses supported by LPEI include:
Hugo Inovasi, an exporter and producer of coconut sugar, partners with over 1,000 farmers to improve the quality of export-oriented coconut sugar. The company also focuses on sustainable business by improving farmers' welfare through programs and training such as organic fertilizer production.
A leading exporter and market leader in non-timber forest products such as Oleo Pine Resin, Copal Rubber, Turpentine, Gum Rosin, Alpha Pinene, Cineol, Pine Oil, and Terpineol. Sumber Banyu Biru supports and uplifts Indonesian farmers while promoting environmentally friendly and sustainable production processes.
As part of the SMETA-Sedex Ethical Trade Organization, Nusantara Segar Global (Java Fresh) focuses on women's empowerment, with 70% of its workforce being women. By utilizing research and technology, they support micro farmers and female packaging workers to scale up premium products like mangosteen, coconut, kaffir lime, lemongrass, and mangoes.
This organic product manufacturer transforms natural ingredients into food and health products such as cocoa, coconut, coffee, fruits and vegetables, honey, and spices. Haldin's commitment to organic products aligns with initiatives to support zero emissions.
Managing over 400 hectares of cocoa plantations in East Java, Indonesia, Kelompok Tani Mulyo specializes in growing cocoa to produce raw cocoa beans. The group is also committed to supporting local farmers and giving back to the environment.
